Borne Back

The publication of Borne Back marks the first time that Victoria Will’s photographs appear in a book, showcasing her incredible work that bridges the gap between commercial photography and fine art. While on assignment at the Sundance Film Festival, Will took advantage of the vintage look achieved with a large format camera and the wet-plate process to bring a different light to the faces that we see photographed so often. At the shoot, she set up a mobile darkroom and developed each plate as it was taken, often capturing only one image of a particular subject during each sitting.
