This book gathers the artwork of 66 photographers and questions Iranian reality by playing on confrontations between documentary and artistic visions. This approach is carried out by Anahita Ghabaian and Newsha Tavakolian to better highlight Iran and photography’s intertwined histories. Interested by private and intimate life and by both indivivual and collective identities, Iranian contemporary photography also addresses social and political issues, evolving along a changing society. A proof of Iranian photography superb maturity. Exhibition at Rencontres d'Arles 2017.
